The Connecting Dunbar project team were out and about at the Dunbar Civic Week Fun Day last Saturday 10th June, another very warm day.

Sustaining Dunbar directors and Community Councillors, Mark James and Jacquie Bell shared the stand with the Local Place Plan (LLP) team. The LLP is a joint enterprise of the Dunbar Trades Association and Dunbar Community Council and West Barns Community Council.

Top line results of the recent survey were on display. The highlights are shown below in the gallery.

Unsurprisingly, and as demonstrated in previous surveys, there is considerable demand for better cycling and walking routes, better path infrastructure, better signage and also the protection of wildlife and green space.

The hard work starts now, reconciling conflicting demands (such as more parking) with real world constraints and aligned to local transport policies, which imply relying less on motorised transport.
